The role

Summary

Docker is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer for their Supply Chain Security group to develop and secure container ecosystem solutions. The ideal candidate will build high-performance microservices, implement security policies, and collaborate on evolving Docker's registry and SaaS offerings with a focus on developer-first security approaches.

What you'll do

Cloud Service Development: Develop, deploy, and monitor microservices and serverless components in AWS

Automation Tooling: Build and improve automation tools including GitHub Actions, Argo CD, and Grafana dashboards

Performance Engineering: Tackle high-performance challenges for efficient and secure container image delivery

Security Policy: Design and enforce security and compliance policies across delivery pipelines

System Reliability: Participate in on-call rotations, respond to incidents, and drive continuous system improvement

What we look for

Technical

Cloud Infrastructure8+ years experience building and deploying microservices on cloud platforms

Programming ProficiencyAdvanced skills in modern programming languages, primarily Go

Database ManagementExpertise in relational and non-relational databases in high-volume environments

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Equivalent ExperienceComparable practical experience may substitute formal degree

Experience
