The role

Summary

Docker is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Enterprise Platform team to drive technical strategy and lead complex infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will architect scalable enterprise governance systems, develop high-impact platform components, and serve as a technical leader who can navigate complex distributed systems and enterprise requirements.

What you'll do

Technical Strategy & Architecture: Define technical architecture for Docker's unified enterprise governance platform, ensuring scalability for thousands of enterprise customers

Complex Technical Initiatives: Own end-to-end delivery of major platform components like Enterprise Command Center, group management systems, and high-volume audit logging infrastructure

Team Leadership: Mentor engineers, set technical standards, lead complex technical discussions, and contribute to hiring processes

Cross-Functional Influence: Serve as a subject matter expert, partner with product management, and build networks across multiple product teams
