The role

Summary

Fullstory is seeking a Senior Security Engineering Manager to lead and transform their security engineering program, focusing on building secure infrastructure, enabling engineering teams, and establishing robust security practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will drive security initiatives, mentor teams, and create automated secure development pathways with a customer-centric approach.

What you'll do

Team Leadership: Lead a team of application and cloud security engineers, providing strategic direction and mentorship
Security Program Development: Build and evolve a comprehensive security engineering program with a focus on continuous improvement and mature secure development lifecycle (SDL)
Stakeholder Enablement: Enable cross-functional partners like Security GRC and Legal to support business outcomes through strategic security initiatives
Security Automation: Create 'paved roads' with automation to streamline and accelerate secure engineering practices
Vendor Management: Maximize investments in third-party security services, consultants, and technologies
Incident Response: Conduct and collaborate on incident response investigations with Legal and external security firms
Strategic Advisory: Advise leadership on cross-business initiatives and product strategy related to security and risk management

Security ArchitectureProven experience in security architecture, risk management, and technical threat analysis
Secure Development PracticesDeep understanding of secure software development lifecycle (SDL) and implementation strategies
Security Tool ExpertiseProficiency in managing and implementing third-party security technologies and services

Education

Cybersecurity DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Leadership ExperienceMinimum 5+ years of full-time people leadership in security engineering teams
Security Program ManagementExtensive experience in owning, planning, and executing business-level security initiatives
Vendor Relationship ManagementDemonstrated experience in managing security vendor relationships, including project scoping and deployment
