Actively participate in recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding as the organization scales.
Drive Mobile Roadmap Execution: Own the mobile engineering roadmap, balancing speed, quality, scalability, and maintainability. Work with Product and Design to prioritize features, define technical requirements, and ensure timely delivery of polished fan experiences that delight millions of users across NBA, WNBA, and NWSL platforms.
Architect Mobile Platform and Infrastructure: Evolve the mobile architecture to support a multi-tenant ecosystem powering numerous partner apps. Collaborate with backend and platform engineering teams on API design, data flows, observability, experimentation frameworks, and performance optimization. Ensure the shared codebase and architecture scales efficiently.
Establish Engineering Excellence Standards: Implement strong engineering practices around testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, code quality, and operational excellence. Drive adoption of industry best practices for iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) and Android development. Lead technical design discussions and provide strategic guidance on architectural decisions and long-term technical direction.
Integrate AI-Assisted Development Practices: Champion modern AI development tools and workflows to enhance team productivity and accelerate delivery cycles. Evaluate emerging technologies that improve code quality, reduce debugging time, streamline documentation, and enhance the overall software delivery process. Make data-driven decisions about tool adoption and integration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Operations teams to align on priorities, technical strategy, and execution plans. Communicate technical depth to non-technical stakeholders while translating business objectives into technical requirements. Ensure transparency and alignment across the organization.
