The role

Summary

Patreon is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for their Relevance team, focused on building ML systems that power creator discovery, content surfacing, and fan matching. The ideal candidate will develop sophisticated machine learning solutions to enhance platform interactions and creator-fan connections.

What you'll do

Data Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analyses and develop proof-of-concept machine learning models to identify new opportunities and assess potential project impact
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, design, legal, and trust and safety teams to design and implement effective machine learning solutions
Model Development: Prepare training data, including utilizing crowdsourcing data labeling techniques, and train machine learning models using innovative approaches
Model Deployment: Deploy machine learning models to production, write necessary backend code, and implement robust observability to monitor model performance
Continuous Improvement: Debug and iterate on models when performance gaps are identified, ensuring ongoing optimization of machine learning systems

Machine Learning ExpertiseEnd-to-end machine learning experience including model building, iteration, deployment, and performance monitoring

Education

Academic BackgroundBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

Experience

Professional ExperienceMinimum 5+ years working in end-to-end machine learning team environments
