The role

Summary

Patreon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Developer Productivity team to enhance engineering workflows and infrastructure. The role focuses on improving developer environments, CI/CD pipelines, and leveraging emerging technologies like AI to increase engineering team efficiency and productivity.

What you'll do

Developer Environment Optimization: Enhance and maintain developer tools, testing infrastructure, and Docker-based development environments to improve engineering productivity.
CI/CD Pipeline Management: Operate and scale continuous integration pipelines using CircleCI, manage Kubernetes and Argo CD deployments, and develop robust deployment strategies.
AI Integration: Integrate AI agents, Multi-Cluster Platforms (MCPs), and skills to augment developer tooling and workflow efficiency.
Automation and Tooling: Develop and implement GitHub automation, automated test selection, and developer-facing services for testing and deployment.

Programming LanguagesProficiency in Python, with strong command of Linux system operations and command-line tooling
DevOps TechnologiesExperience with CircleCI, containerized environments, Kubernetes, Argo CD, ECR, Terraform, and Cypress

Education

Academic QualificationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; equivalent professional experience acceptable

Experience

Professional ExperienceProven track record as a Software Engineer with focus on developer productivity, infrastructure, and tooling
