Summary

PermitFlow is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and scale their innovative construction permitting software team. The ideal candidate will drive technical excellence, manage team growth, and contribute to the company's mission of transforming the construction industry through applied AI and streamlined permitting processes.

What you'll do

Team Leadership: Manage and develop engineering team, conducting regular 1:1s and providing career development opportunities
Technical Strategy: Define technical priorities, manage KPIs, and strategically address technical debt
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product, design, and other teams to align technical requirements with business goals
System Excellence: Ensure high standards of system architecture, code quality, scalability, and security
Talent Acquisition: Lead engineering team hiring process and provide mentorship to team members

What we look for

Technical

Software Engineering5+ years in software engineering with strong technical foundation
Leadership Experience3+ years in engineering leadership roles

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred
