Summary

Plaid's Credit team is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of 7 engineers in developing innovative financial data solutions. The role focuses on expanding credit distribution channels and leveraging cash flow data to transform lending decisions, requiring strong technical leadership and strategic partnership skills.

What you'll do

Team Leadership: Lead a team of 7 engineers ranging from mid-level to Staff, focusing on professional development through strategic goal setting, coaching, and constructive feedback
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify high-leverage opportunities, shape product roadmaps, and ensure consistent delivery of high-impact business outcomes
Technical Excellence: Maintain a high standard of technical quality and delivery velocity, leading by example and driving architectural innovation in credit distribution solutions
Strategic Partnership Development: Drive ecosystem strategy by developing solutions and integrations that unlock new customer segments and strengthen market positioning across the credit ecosystem

Education

Advanced DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred

Experience

Engineering ManagementMinimum 1+ years of engineering management experience with a track record of building and growing high-performing teams
Technical ProgressionMinimum 8+ years of industry experience, including time as a Staff-level engineer before transitioning into management
