Summary

Plaid is seeking a Senior Developer Relations Engineer to elevate their API ecosystem and developer experience. The ideal candidate will create exceptional technical documentation, build integrative demos, and serve as a critical bridge between Plaid's technical teams and its global developer community in the fintech integration space.

What you'll do

Developer Documentation Creation: Create and evolve comprehensive API documentation, distilling complex technical topics into clear, approachable explanations for developers across various skill levels.

Technical Asset Development: Design and build sample applications, demos, and tutorial videos that showcase Plaid's API integration benefits and best practices.

Developer Resource Management: Improve and maintain developer-facing resources including Postman collections, documentation websites, and other technical assets.

Developer Advocacy: Serve as the primary advocate for external developers, translating community needs into actionable product and documentation insights for internal teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing teams to deliver a world-class developer experience and create scalable developer engagement strategies.

Programming LanguagesProficiency in at least one backend language and one frontend language with ability to write idiomatic, clean code

API DevelopmentStrong experience with B2B API development, documentation, and integration patterns

Technical CommunicationAbility to explain complex technical concepts clearly and create high-quality technical documentation

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Developer Relations Experience5+ years in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or equivalent technical roles focused on developer experience

Technical DemonstrationProven track record of building sample applications, technical demos, and developer-focused content
