The role

Summary

Plaid is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a 35+ person engineering organization within the Customer Growth and Experience (CGX) team. The role involves driving technical strategy, team development, and cross-functional collaboration to accelerate customer velocity and enhance developer experiences across Plaid's financial technology ecosystem.

What you'll do

Team Leadership: Support the growth and development of Engineering Managers and Senior Individual Contributors within the Customer Growth and Experience organization.
Strategic Alignment: Ensure technical strategy is aligned with future product needs and partner closely with product counterparts to refine organizational goals.
Organizational Design: Continuously evolve the organizational structure of engineering teams to optimize performance and meet changing business requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner extensively with product, recruiting, and other stakeholders to drive team performance and talent acquisition.
Team Optimization: Increase operational efficiency across go-to-market and supporting teams, including customer-facing roles and internal functions.

Engineering ManagementProven experience managing teams composed primarily of Engineering Managers
Technical StrategyAbility to develop and align technical strategies with product roadmaps and organizational goals

Education

Advanced DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Management ExperienceExtensive experience managing large engineering teams (35+ engineers)
Cross-Functional LeadershipDemonstrated ability to work effectively with partners across multiple organizational domains
