Plaid is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to contribute to their mission of transforming financial interactions by building scalable, high-performance backend services. The ideal candidate will drive technical excellence, collaborate cross-functionally, and help develop innovative financial technology solutions that power thousands of developer applications.

What you'll do

Backend Service Development: Design and maintain high-performance, reliable, and scalable backend services that support Plaid's financial data integration platform

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, operations, design, and data science teams to define and implement innovative features

Code Quality Management: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while developing comprehensive automated testing strategies

Technical Leadership: Engage in architectural design, set high technical standards, mentor junior engineers, and review technical documentation and code changes
