Summary

Plaid is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to design and build scalable systems that power financial data connections. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both backend and frontend development, with a passion for creating intuitive, secure financial technology solutions that impact millions of users.

What you'll do

Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and high-quality frontend applications across Plaid's financial technology ecosystem.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers and designers to define requirements and deliver customer-centric features that solve real financial technology challenges.

Code Quality and Maintenance: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, participate in comprehensive code reviews, and engage in technical design discussions.

System Performance and Reliability: Build automated tests, monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to architectural decisions ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.

Team Development: Support and enhance engineering culture through mentorship, thoughtful technical reviews, and shared ownership of engineering standards.

Backend DevelopmentProven experience building backend services using relational databases like MySQL and microservices architectures

Frontend TechnologiesStrong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks/libraries

Education

Educational BackgroundBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred
