The role

Summary

Railway is seeking a highly skilled Infra Engineer to build and manage their global datacenter infrastructure, bridging physical and digital realms. The ideal candidate will design, scale, and maintain robust infrastructure systems with a focus on performance, resilience, and innovative solutions in a distributed, high-ownership startup environment.

What you'll do

Infrastructure Design: Design and procure high-performance datacenter hardware and infrastructure
System Reliability: Build resilient systems with robust monitoring, alerts, and proactive failure prevention
Scalability Engineering: Design infrastructure that can scale from current needs to 10x and 100x growth
Documentation: Create comprehensive RFCs and technical documentation for complex infrastructure projects
On-Call Support: Provide 1-2 weeks of on-call support per quarter, ensuring system stability and rapid incident response

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
