The role

Summary

Engineering Manager position leading Replit's Enterprise Platform infrastructure team, responsible for building enterprise-grade deployment capabilities including single-tenant environments, private networking, and advanced data protection features. The role requires 6-10+ years in engineering with 3+ years managing cloud infrastructure teams, combining technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration to enable enterprise adoption.

What you'll do

Enterprise Infrastructure Leadership: Lead the roadmap for single-tenant and dedicated deployment options, VPC peering, private connectivity, and static IP configurations
Data Protection Implementation: Design and ship advanced data protection features including BYOK encryption, customer-managed keys, and enhanced data isolation controls
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Platform & Infrastructure Engineering, and Security teams to understand requirements and unblock enterprise deployments
Team Building and Management: Hire, coach, and retain exceptional infrastructure engineers while creating a high-ownership culture with clear execution rituals
Technical Strategy Development: Define SLAs/SLOs for enterprise infrastructure reliability and evaluate build-vs-buy decisions for complex infrastructure capabilities
Enterprise Compliance Oversight: Ensure the platform meets evolving enterprise security and compliance requirements including data residency needs

Platform TechnologiesStrong technical leadership across Kubernetes, GCP/AWS, networking, and Infrastructure as Code

Experience

Engineering Experience6-10+ years in engineering with focus on cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or enterprise SaaS at scale
Management Experience3+ years managing teams building cloud infrastructure or platform engineering systems
Enterprise SaaSExperience building and scaling enterprise-grade SaaS platforms
Team LeadershipExcellent hiring, coaching, and performance management skills with strong written and async communication

Required skills

Cloud InfrastructureProduction experience with VPCs, private connectivity, and multi-tenant architectures
