Summary

Replit is seeking a Senior Product Engineer for their Product Platform team to build shared product systems and primitives that power core experiences for over 40 million users and AI agents. The role focuses on scaling foundational platform infrastructure, building agent-friendly primitives, and enabling product teams to ship faster in Replit's revolutionary agentic software development environment.

What you'll do

Lead Cross-Team Platform Initiatives: Take foundational systems from 0→1 and scale them to support millions of users across product teams

Build Agent Primitives: Develop shared, extensible primitives that Replit Agent can reuse safely and consistently for meta programming

Identify Technical Bottlenecks: Analyze and resolve highest-leverage issues in performance, reliability, correctness, abuse prevention, and observability

Engineering Excellence Leadership: Raise standards through architecture reviews, code quality improvements, reliability standards, and mentorship

Platform Adoption Partnership: Collaborate across teams to improve platform adoption, ergonomics, and velocity while measuring outcomes

Connector Framework Development: Build secure connector framework for OAuth/permissions/data access enabling agent integrations with external tools

Agent External Surfaces: Own high-quality embedded experiences for desktop/extension/embeds allowing agents to act in-context across tools

Safety and Abuse Controls: Design permissioning, rate limits, and policy enforcement for safe agent operations at scale

Real-time Notifications Platform: Design in-app/email surfaces and build reliable delivery/fanout with preferences and observability

Core Web Platform Performance: Improve latency and reliability via caching strategy, profiling, and safe fallbacks
