What you'll do.
Replit is seeking a Growth Engineer to join their newly formed Growth team, working at the intersection of engineering, product, and marketing to scale user metrics across acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization. This role involves building experimentation frameworks, developing growth-oriented features, and leveraging data analytics to drive measurable impact for a platform that scaled from 2M to 250M users in under a year.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implement A/B Tests: Create rapid A/B and multivariate tests to validate hypotheses and improve key performance indicators
- Build Growth-Oriented Features: Develop onboarding flows, referral systems, and automated engagement loops to drive user growth
- Optimize User Conversion Funnels: Identify bottlenecks in user funnels and develop technical solutions to improve conversion rates
- Develop Scalable Infrastructure: Build code and infrastructure that supports growth initiatives and experimentation frameworks
- Analyze User Behavior Data: Use SQL and analytics tools to analyze cohorts, engagement metrics, and experiment outcomes
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product managers, designers, marketers, and data scientists on growth goals and execution
- Instrument Tracking Systems: Work with data teams to build dashboards and derive insights from user behavior data
- Automate Growth Processes: Build internal tools and automate repetitive tasks to enable faster experimentation and execution
- Translate Business Goals to Technical Solutions: Convert business objectives into technical requirements and implement pragmatic solutions
- Stay Current with Growth Technologies: Research industry trends and propose new tactics to accelerate sustainable growth

About the Role
We are seeking a highly technical, data-driven Growth Engineer to help scale our product and expand key user metrics across acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization. Growth Engineering sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and marketing—leveraging code, experimentation, and analytics to uncover opportunities and deliver measurable impact.
What You’ll Do
Drive Experimentation & Optimization
Design, implement, and analyze rapid A/B and multivariate tests to validate hypotheses and improve key KPIs.
Identify bottlenecks in user funnels and develop technical solutions to improve conversion rates throughout the user lifecycle.
Build and Scale Growth Features
Build growth-oriented product features such as onboarding flows, referral systems, and automated engagement loops.
Develop scalable code and infrastructure that supports growth initiatives and experimentation frameworks.
Leverage Data & Metrics
Collaborate with data teams to instrument tracking, build dashboards, and derive insights from user behavior data.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Experience with data analysis and database query languages (e.g., SQL).
Familiarity with instrumentation, analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude), and experimentation frameworks.
Comfort with designing and interpreting experiments grounded in statistical thinking.
