What you'll do.
Replit seeks a Growth Infrastructure Engineer to build scalable systems powering growth experiments and data pipelines for their agentic software creation platform with 250M+ users. This role combines backend engineering with growth optimization, requiring expertise in Python/Go/JavaScript, cloud infrastructure, and A/B testing frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Growth Infrastructure Design: Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure that supports growth and experimentation needs across millions of users
- Analytics Pipeline Development: Build and optimize analytics pipelines to capture key product and growth metrics including acquisition, activation, and retention
- Automated Workflow Creation: Develop automated workflows for user onboarding, campaign delivery, and performance tracking systems
- A/B Testing Framework Support: Support A/B testing frameworks and integrate them into production systems for reliable experimentation
- Data Collection Architecture: Enable reliable data collection and evaluation infrastructure for growth experiments and business intelligence
- Feature Flag Automation: Automate deployment and rollout of growth feature flags and tests across multiple environments
- Cross-Functional Technical Leadership: Partner with Growth Product Managers, Data Engineers, and Analysts to define technical requirements for growth initiatives
- Business-Technical Translation: Translate business goals into technical specifications and system designs that scale efficiently
- Performance Optimization Guidance: Provide guidance on performance, reliability, and scalability trade-offs for growth infrastructure decisions
- Production Monitoring: Implement monitoring and alerting for growth infrastructure services to ensure high availability
- System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot production issues and optimize for uptime and performance across distributed systems
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality and consistency for reporting and decision-making processes
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and platforms that accelerate growth engineering capabilities
- Best Practices Implementation: Drive best practices in infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and automated testing methodologies

Backend Development
3+ years of experience building backend or infrastructure-focused services at scale
Programming Languages
Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or JavaScript for infrastructure development
Cloud Platform Infrastructure
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for scalable system deployment
Data Pipeline Architecture
Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and database systems for analytics
CI/CD Systems

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Growth Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain the technical backbone that enables scalable growth experiments, high-performance data pipelines, and automated systems that drive user acquisition, engagement, and product iteration. This role sits at the intersection of growth, product, and infrastructure — combining deep technical engineering with experimentation and data-driven optimization.
You will collaborate with product, data science, and backend teams to ensure that growth initiatives run smoothly and scale efficiently across systems.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Infrastructure & Systems
Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure that supports growth and experimentation needs.
Build and optimize analytics pipelines to capture key product and growth metrics (acquisition, activation, retention, etc.).
Develop automated workflows for user onboarding, campaign delivery, and performance tracking.
Experimentation & Optimization
Support A/B testing frameworks and integrate them into production systems.
