Satispay is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Consumer Wealth team in Milan, focusing on developing innovative financial technology solutions. The role requires a visionary technical leader who can architect complex back-end systems for savings and investment products, driving strategic technical initiatives in the FinTech domain.

What you'll do

Technical Strategy Development: Define and implement technical strategy for the Consumer Wealth domain, architecting complex subsystems that power savings and investment features with cross-product considerations.
System Architecture: Design and build scalable, high-quality systems that solve complex financial engineering problems, focusing on simplifying and managing back-end systems for wealth management.
Technical Thought Leadership: Drive technical alignment across the organization, represent technical vision internally and externally, and stay ahead of emerging technology trends in FinTech and wealth management.
Talent Development: Develop next-generation technical leaders and champion a culture of high-quality engineering and continuous improvement.
Impact Generation: Contribute to back-end infrastructure that directly supports users in growing their wealth and achieving financial goals.

What we look for

Technical

Java ExpertiseProfound understanding and extensive experience with Java development
Cloud InfrastructureStrong experience with AWS cloud platforms, microservices, and cloud deployment
Back-end ArchitectureProven track record of designing and maintaining complex microservices architectures

Education

Computer Science/Engineering DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Software Engineering ExperienceMinimum 7 years of back-end software engineering in product-based companies
Financial SystemsExperience with financial systems, transactional consistency, or regulated environments preferred
