Summary

Satispay is seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer for its Consumer Wealth team in Milan, focusing on revolutionizing financial management through innovative savings and investment technologies. The ideal candidate will drive technical strategy, architect complex financial systems, and contribute to empowering users' financial well-being using advanced cloud and microservices architectures.

What you'll do

Technical Strategy Definition: Define and lead the technical strategy for the Consumer Wealth domain, architecting complex subsystems for savings and investment features with cross-product considerations
System Architecture: Design and build scalable, high-quality systems that solve complex financial engineering problems, managing and simplifying backend systems for wealth management
Technical Leadership: Drive technical alignment across the organization, represent technical vision internally and externally, and stay ahead of emerging FinTech and wealth management technology trends
Talent Development: Develop next-generation technical leaders and champion a culture of high-quality engineering and continuous improvement
Impact Generation: Contribute to backend infrastructure that enables users to grow wealth and achieve financial goals, directly supporting Satispay's mission

What we look for

Technical

Backend EngineeringMinimum 7 years of experience in back-end software engineering, with proven track record of architecting and maintaining microservices
Cloud PlatformsStrong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, and ElasticSearch
Programming LanguagesAdvanced expertise in Java, with strong understanding of cloud-native application development

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Financial SystemsExperience with financial systems, transactional consistency, or regulated environments preferred
Product Company BackgroundTrack record of working in product-based technology companies with complex technical environments
