Summary

Sentry is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Infrastructure team to design and build scalable platform services that empower engineering teams. The ideal candidate will create reliable infrastructure solutions that reduce operational complexity, enable self-service workflows, and support Sentry's mission of helping developers build better software faster.

What you'll do

Infrastructure Design: Design scalable systems that support company growth while balancing reliability, performance, and cost effectiveness

Platform Service Development: Build self-service platform services and interfaces that enable engineering teams to deploy and manage services efficiently

Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with multiple engineering teams to develop tailored infrastructure solutions and enhance existing capabilities

Documentation and Support: Create comprehensive documentation, provide training, and offer support to ensure effective adoption of infrastructure tools

Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance infrastructure capabilities based on user feedback and emerging technologies

System Monitoring: Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to maintain high availability and operational excellence

What we look for

Technical

Programming LanguagesStrong proficiency in Python; experience with Rust is a plus

System DesignExpertise in designing scalable systems, distributed systems, and robust APIs

Cloud PlatformsExperience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and their respective SDKs/APIs

ContainerizationProficiency with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes

Education
