The role
Summary
Snowflake is seeking a Principal Data Cloud Architect to lead AI/ML initiatives with System Integrator partners, accelerating customer deployments on their AI Data Cloud platform. The role requires extensive SI experience, expertise in cloud ML platforms, and the ability to mentor teams while driving rapid AI/ML implementations.
What you'll do
Strategic Account Management: Align with top SI partner accounts to identify and prioritize high-impact AI/ML customer journeys focusing on quick wins and high consumption
POC and RFP Support: Provide rapid support for partners during RFI/RFP processes and proof-of-concepts, ensuring successful outcomes with quick turnaround
Deployment Framework Development: Create and share best practices and POC frameworks specifically designed to accelerate AI/ML customer journey deployments
Center of Excellence Collaboration: Collaborate on creating and managing Partner Snowflake Centers of Excellence with focus on accelerating AI/ML deployments
Capability Maturity Development: Drive partner capabilities maturity for each AI/ML product category, emphasizing hands-on skills and practical knowledge
Technical Communication: Deliver public webinars and product roadmap sessions focused on accelerating AI/ML implementation
Joint Solution Development: Build or replatform Partner-led Joint Industry Solutions for AI/ML with focus on speed to market
Asset Creation: Assist partners with creating templates, code samples, and deployment guides for AI/ML product categories
Customer Journey Alignment: Align AI/ML customer journeys with Partner Solutions/Offerings for immediate value and quick wins
Cortex AI Enablement: Enable partners to leverage Cortex AI for generative AI customer journeys including LLM, Fine Tuning, Search, and Analyst
ML/MLOps Implementation: Support partners in implementing end-to-end ML development and MLOps using Snowflake ML
Unstructured Data Analytics: Advise partners on using Cortex AI for unstructured data analytics focusing on real-world customer journeys
Team Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior cloud architects in PSE team working on critical AI/ML engagements with SI partners

Technical
System Integrator ExperienceRequired experience working at a large System Integrator with proven track record of accelerating technical wins and production deployments
Cloud Data PlatformsExtensive experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Snowflake
Cloud ML PlatformsHands-on experience with SageMaker, Azure ML, Vertex AI, and/or MLFlow
ML Pipeline DeploymentExperience building and deploying ML model pipelines using serverless and containerized computing
MLOps and CI/CDFamiliarity with MLOps and CI/CD processes and tools
Big Data IntegrationExperience with Big Data or Cloud integration technologies
Full ML LifecycleExperience developing and deploying Machine Learning models through full Data Science lifecycle
Programming LanguagesExpertise in Python, SQL, Scala, and/or Spark
Cloud PlatformsStrong experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP
Computer Science FundamentalsStrong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
Education
Degree RequirementBS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors
Experience
Industry Experience10+ years industry experience designing, building and supporting large-scale systems
Pre-sales ExperienceMinimum of 5 years in a pre-sales role
AI/ML Use Case DevelopmentExperience developing AI/ML use cases including communicating AI/ML strategy and business value
