Summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Security Architect in Applied Field Engineering to drive strategic customer engagements and build prescriptive security frameworks for the AI Data Cloud. The ideal candidate will help enterprises modernize their data platforms, focusing on secure AI adoption, advanced security architecture, and transforming legacy security approaches.

What you'll do

Security Architecture Foundation: Drive strategic engagements to ensure robust security foundations across Identity, Data, and Infrastructure for Snowflake-based applications.
AI Security & Trust Foundations: Support customer strategies for secure AI adoption, leveraging Snowflake Cortex to implement secure AI frameworks with governed boundaries.
Modern Security Operations: Deliver workshops and hands-on engagements to transition customers from legacy infrastructure to advanced SIEM Augmentation, Log Ingestion, and Cybersecurity Data Lake solutions.
Governance & Identity: Build repeatable reference architectures for Identity Management, Data Governance, Row-Level Security, and Encryption to accelerate well-architected deployments.
Customer Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and enterprise architects, translating complex security concepts into actionable strategies.

Education

CertificationCISSP preferred; strong background in security frameworks and compliance

Experience

Industry Experience5+ years in Data, Security, Networking, Infrastructure, or AI Engineering
Customer EngagementProven track record of delivering technical presentations and architectural guidance

Identity and Access ManagementExpertise in OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and RBAC implementation
AI SecurityUnderstanding of AI governance, data privacy techniques, and security controls
