Summary

Stepful seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of Product Engineers in building transformative end-to-end student success experiences. The ideal candidate will drive technical excellence, foster team development, and contribute to cutting-edge AI-enabled educational technology solutions in the healthcare training sector.

What you'll do

Team Leadership: Lead product engineering team to deliver impactful outcomes, remove technical blockers, and drive continuous improvement in team processes and performance
People Development: Develop engineers through personalized feedback, career development plans, and strategic opportunity matching
Product Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and Operations teams to shape product discovery and ensure strategic alignment
Technical Contribution: Contribute approximately 20% of time to hands-on technical work, including code reviews, architecture design, and technical documentation
Technical Strategy: Oversee technical roadmapping and guide system evolution across core product pillars: Learning Experience, Careers, and Human Connection

Technical LeadershipAbility to provide technical guidance, conduct in-depth code reviews, and contribute to system architecture

Education

Computer Science/EngineeringBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Experience

Engineering ManagementMinimum 2 years of direct experience managing software engineering teams
Software Product Development6+ years of experience building comprehensive software products
