Summary

UiPath is seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer for its Site Reliability Engineering team in Bucharest. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain critical infrastructure platforms that enable the company's automation software delivery, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement through AI-powered solutions.

What you'll do

Platform Engineering: Design, engineer, and build Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) platform systems with cutting-edge AI technologies, treating them as critical product offerings for internal engineering teams.

Incident Management: Participate in live-site monitoring rotations, handle escalations, and drive effective mitigations to reduce customer impact through comprehensive post-mortems and root cause analysis.

Performance Optimization: Drive continuous improvements in system availability, scalability, and performance based on live-site learnings and emerging technology trends.

Team Enablement: Mentor software engineers, provide hands-on coaching, and participate in process improvements across the engineering organization.

Strategic Integration: Onboard teams onto new platforms by actively removing friction, writing integrations, and ensuring smooth adoption through direct collaboration and support.

Technical

Programming LanguagesProficiency in object-oriented languages such as C#, C++, Java, or Python with strong computer science fundamentals

System ArchitectureExtensive experience with service-oriented and microservice-based architectures, distributed systems, and web services development

Cloud TechnologiesAdvanced knowledge of cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred

Experience

Industry Experience10+ years of experience architecting large-scale, distributed commercial applications with proven track record of customer success

Platform DevelopmentDemonstrated ability to build complex internal platforms adopted by multiple teams in their critical path
