Role

What you'll do.

As a Senior Front End Engineer for Orchestrator at UiPath, you'll develop user-facing features for the centralized web platform that manages, deploys, monitors, and schedules enterprise automations. You'll work with a large frontend-focused team to build scalable, high-performance web experiences while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to enterprise-grade RPA software. This role requires 5+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript expertise, strong browser performance knowledge, and a commitment to accessibility and code quality in a fast-moving, innovation-driven organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop User-Facing Features: Plan, design, develop, and test software systems and applications for the Orchestrator platform, including both software enhancements and new products or features, with emphasis on cloud-based tools and scalable frontend architecture.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across UiPath including product, design, backend, and infrastructure teams to design and engineer core areas of the platform and services, ensuring seamless integration and user experience.
  • Quality and Performance Assurance: Ensure technical deliverables meet customer expectations and requirements for quality, security, scalability, modifiability, extensibility, testability, and performance while maintaining enterprise-grade standards.
  • Engineering Excellence and Best Practices: Help establish effective and agile engineering practices, maintain code quality and organization, implement automation practices, and contribute to establishing frontend best practices across the organization.
  • Identify and Resolve Technical Issues: Identify bottlenecks, performance degradation, and bugs in the frontend application and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues while optimizing user experience.
  • Roadmap Planning and Architecture Design: Plan feature development cycles, design scalable system components, architect large frontend systems that scale well, and contribute to the engineering roadmap with technical insights and feasibility analysis.
  • Mentorship and Code Leadership: Mentor junior team members through code reviews, pair programming sessions, and constructive feedback to lift the entire team's technical capabilities and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Technical

  • JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript

    5+ years of hands-on coding experience with modern JavaScript standards (ES6+) and TypeScript, including strong proficiency in functional programming patterns, async/await, and type-safe development practices.

  • HTML5 and CSS3/SASS

    Advanced proficiency in semantic HTML5, CSS3, and SASS/SCSS for building accessible, responsive, and maintainable user interfaces with strong attention to cross-browser compatibility.

  • Frontend Architecture and Scalability

    Demonstrated ability to architect and build large-scale frontend systems that scale well, including component design, state management, code organization, and modular architecture patterns.

  • Browser APIs and Performance Optimization

    Strong knowledge of browser APIs including DOM manipulation, Web APIs, event handling, and deep understanding of frontend performance metrics, optimization techniques, and tools for debugging and profiling.

  • Web Accessibility

    Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), ability to implement accessible components, and commitment to inclusive design practices in user interfaces.

  • LLM Technologies and AI Integration

    Practical understanding of Large Language Model (LLM) technologies and familiarity with AI/ML integration patterns for potential feature development in intelligent automation platforms.

Education

  • Computer Science or Related Field

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating mastery of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles.

Experience

  • Senior Level Frontend Development

    5+ years of professional frontend development experience with demonstrated progression to senior-level contributions, including architecting complex systems and making technical decisions that impact product direction.

  • Enterprise Software Development

    Experience building enterprise-grade web applications with requirements for high availability, security, scalability, and complex user workflows similar to mission-critical automation platforms.

  • Frontend Team Leadership

    Experience mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and contributing to establishing engineering practices and standards within development teams.

  • JavaScript (ES6+)

    Expert-level proficiency in modern JavaScript including ES6+ features, asynchronous programming, closures, prototypes, and advanced functional programming concepts for production-grade applications.

  • TypeScript

    Strong command of TypeScript for type-safe development, including advanced types, generics, decorators, and best practices for maintaining large codebases with complex type hierarchies.

  • HTML5 and CSS3

  • Performance Optimization

    Strong expertise in identifying and optimizing frontend performance bottlenecks, including bundle size optimization, rendering performance, memory management, and Core Web Vitals.

  • Web Accessibility (WCAG)

    Knowledge of web accessibility standards and ability to implement accessible components, keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and semantic HTML practices.

    Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js for building component-based, reactive user interfaces with state management solutions.
