The role

Summary

Senior Software Engineer specializing in StudioWeb, UiPath's cloud-based automation platform serving 10,000+ monthly active users. You'll architect scalable backend services using C#, .NET 8, and cloud infrastructure while solving complex distributed systems challenges across Kubernetes and Azure environments. This role requires 6+ years of enterprise software development experience with strong fundamentals in object-oriented design, multithreading, and cloud architecture to drive technical decisions on a globally distributed team.

What you'll do

Design and Develop Scalable Backend Services: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for StudioWeb's microservices architecture serving 10,000+ monthly active users. Architect system components that handle over 200,000 total projects while ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness across cloud infrastructure.
Optimize Performance and Reliability: Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks through profiling and analysis. Monitor application metrics, optimize database queries, and improve system throughput. Ensure high availability and resilience through redundancy strategies and graceful degradation patterns.
Lead Technical Problem Solving: Devise and implement solutions to address production issues, scaling challenges, and architectural gaps. Conduct root cause analysis on complex distributed systems problems and mentor junior engineers on problem-solving methodologies and debugging techniques.
Drive System Architecture Decisions: Collaborate cross-functionally across UiPath to design system components and APIs that serve multiple product teams. Participate in architecture reviews, design patterns evaluation, and technology stack assessments to maintain architectural coherence and support business strategy.
Establish Engineering Excellence: Help establish and maintain effective agile engineering practices including code reviews, continuous integration pipelines, and automated testing frameworks. Champion code quality standards, refactoring initiatives, and knowledge documentation across the distributed team.
Mentor and Knowledge Sharing: Work with globally distributed teams on feature development and engineering roadmap planning. Share technical expertise through code reviews, technical discussions, and onboarding processes. Guide architectural decisions by balancing business requirements with technical feasibility.
Monitor and Maintain Code Quality: Implement and enforce code organization standards, automated testing coverage, and build automation. Establish monitoring and alerting for system health and performance metrics to catch issues before they impact users.
