Role

What you'll do.

UiPath is seeking a Software Engineer for its Engineering Systems team in Bucharest, focusing on developing and maintaining critical internal platform services that accelerate engineering team velocity. The ideal candidate will help build and manage key infrastructure components like Feature Flags Service and Engineering Internal Observability Platform (E360).

Responsibilities

  • Platform Service Development: Design, develop, and maintain internal platform services critical to engineering team operations
  • System Design: Plan and engineer cloud-based tools, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and extensible solutions
  • Technical Collaboration: Work across UiPath teams to design and improve product and service components
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve system bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues
  • Engineering Practice Enhancement: Establish and improve agile engineering practices and code quality standards

Qualifications

Technical

  • Programming Languages

    Proficiency in C#, C, C++, Java, Python, Rust

    Experience with container orchestration and deployment

    Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and architectural design patterns

    Expert knowledge of multithreading, synchronization, and asynchronous programming techniques

Education

  • Computer Science

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

    5+ years of professional software engineering experience

    3+ years leading functional teams or mentoring individual contributors

  • Industry Experience

    1+ years in B2B software or technology industry

Your mission
The Engineering Systems team builds and maintains internal platform services, mission-critical for the entire engineering team. These services play a foundational role in accelerating the velocity of the engineering teams.
As a manager in this team, you will be responsible of managing and growing two critical components: the Feature Flags Service and the Engineering Internal Observability Platform (E360).


What you'll do at UiPath

  • Plan, design, develop, and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products or features, including cloud-based tools.

  • Collaborate with teams across UiPath to design and engineer areas of our product and services.

  • Ensure technical deliverables meet customer expectations, and all requirements of quality, security, scalability, modifiability, extensibility, testability, etc.

  • Help establish effective and agile engineering practices.

  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.

  • Plan feature development, design system components, and build engineering roadmap.

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

What you'll bring to the team

  • 3+ years experience leading a functional team of individual contributors or proven experience mentoring and coaching peers in a leadership development opportunity

  • 5+ years experience in a Software Engineering role

  • 1+ years experience in B2B software or technology industry

  • Programming languages (C#, C, C++, Java, Python, Rust etc.)

  • Experience with Kubernetes.

  • Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and architectural design patterns.

  • Strong knowledge of multithreading, synchronization, asynchronous programming.
