The role

Summary

UiPath is seeking a Software Engineer for its Engineering Systems team in Bucharest, focusing on developing and maintaining critical internal platform services that accelerate engineering team velocity. The ideal candidate will help build and manage key infrastructure components like Feature Flags Service and Engineering Internal Observability Platform (E360).

What you'll do

Platform Service Development: Design, develop, and maintain internal platform services critical to engineering team operations
System Design: Plan and engineer cloud-based tools, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and extensible solutions
Technical Collaboration: Work across UiPath teams to design and improve product and service components
Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve system bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues
Engineering Practice Enhancement: Establish and improve agile engineering practices and code quality standards

Programming LanguagesProficiency in C#, C, C++, Java, Python, Rust
KubernetesExperience with container orchestration and deployment
Programming ParadigmsStrong understanding of object-oriented programming and architectural design patterns
Concurrent ProgrammingExpert knowledge of multithreading, synchronization, and asynchronous programming techniques

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Software Engineering5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Team Leadership3+ years leading functional teams or mentoring individual contributors
Industry Experience1+ years in B2B software or technology industry

Required skills

System ArchitectureAdvanced understanding of scalable software system design
Platform EngineeringExperience building internal developer platforms and infrastructure services
