The role

Summary

Wealthsimple is seeking a Senior Software Developer to drive operational efficiency and innovation within their rapidly scaling brokerage business. The ideal candidate will embed with enablement teams, automate complex workflows, and leverage AI to reduce operational friction while deeply understanding financial services domain expertise.

What you'll do

Operational Workflow Automation: Embed with enablement teams to understand and automate high-volume manual workflows across brokerage operations, compliance, and regulatory reporting
Risk Oversight: Develop automated alerts, manage liquidation processes, and conduct daily reconciliations for leveraged financial offerings
Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with AI agentic workflows team to ensure built solutions are accurate, secure, auditable, and leverage shared components
Strategic Problem Identification: Proactively surface operational insights and patterns that inform R&D planning and drive continuous improvement

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred

Experience
