The role

Summary

Wealthsimple is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for its Growth Product team to drive product-led growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytics and machine learning to optimize client onboarding, consolidation, and engagement strategies across the company's fintech platform.

What you'll do

Product Analytics Partnership: Serve as the dedicated data science partner to the Consolidation product team, driving analytics and modeling for product-led growth across onboarding, activation, and asset consolidation processes.
Experimental Design: Design and analyze rigorous product experiments using A/B testing, non-inferiority tests, and causal inference methods to measure impact on key growth metrics.
Machine Learning Integration: Develop and incorporate machine learning models for personalized recommendations and value propositions into product workflows.
Funnel Analysis: Create comprehensive product analytics to understand client journey, tracking key milestones and identifying opportunities to accelerate user progression.
Data Infrastructure: Create and maintain data models, dashboards, and monitoring systems for consolidation KPIs with a focus on data quality and efficiency.

Data ToolsHands-on experience with data pipeline tools like dbt and Airflow
Experimental MethodsExpert-level knowledge of experimental design, A/B testing, and causal inference techniques

Education

Educational BackgroundAdvanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related quantitative field preferred

Experience

Professional Experience5+ years in data science, decision science, or similar quantitative role with product domain expertise
Industry PreferencePrior experience in fintech, growth, or product-led growth data science is highly advantageous
