Summary

A Senior Engineer role at Xero's Internal AI Accelerator Squad focused on transforming the company into an AI-native organization by designing and implementing intelligent automation workflows across enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will be a forward-deployed engineer who can embed with business teams to create sophisticated AI agents that streamline complex workflows.

What you'll do

AI Workflow Design: Design and iterate on AI agents and workflow orchestrations using cutting-edge AI tools

Enterprise Integration: Integrate AI systems with core enterprise platforms like Salesforce, Workday, Slack, and NetSuite

Automation Patterns: Develop reusable automation patterns and shared templates for future AI initiatives

Performance Monitoring: Build evaluation and monitoring frameworks to ensure AI workflow safety and performance

Technical Evangelism: Act as a technical partner and coach to uplift AI fluency across the organization

What we look for

Technical

Programming SkillsProficiency in Python or TypeScript

AI Solution ExperienceProven track record of building AI-driven solutions like agents, copilots, or RAG systems

Cloud InfrastructureExperience with API integrations and production cloud environments

Education

Computer ScienceDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience
