The role

Summary

Zapier is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead Enterprise Integrations in India, managing two critical engineering teams focused on building and maintaining key product integrations. The role requires a strategic leader who can drive technical innovation, foster AI-powered productivity, and represent Zapier's engineering presence in the Indian market.

What you'll do

Team Leadership: Manage two engineering teams (8-10 engineers) through direct management and tech leads, conducting weekly 1:1s, team meetings, and skip-levels
Performance Management: Own comprehensive performance management including setting expectations, providing feedback, conducting reviews, and supporting career growth
AI-Powered Innovation: Champion AI-assisted development, identifying high-leverage AI applications in engineering processes and setting benchmarks for AI-native engineering
Technical Strategy: Shape architectural decisions for critical integrations, participate in code and design reviews, and guide technical direction
India Engineering Leadership: Represent Zapier's engineering presence in India, partner with recruiting, foster local engineering culture, and ensure smooth onboarding of new hires

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Leadership Experience7+ years of engineering experience with 4+ years managing engineers, including manager-of-managers experience
Team ScalingProven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining senior and staff-level engineers
Performance ManagementExperience running rigorous performance cycles and growing individual contributors into leadership roles
