The role

Summary

Zapier is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer for their Identity Platform team to design and maintain critical authentication infrastructure at enterprise scale. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end authentication systems, build platform APIs, and drive strategic technical direction for user identity and security across Zapier's multi-service architecture.

What you'll do

Enterprise Authentication Infrastructure: Design and extend systems handling SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning, OAuth/OIDC flows, multi-factor authentication, and secure user sessions for large organizations
User Session Management: Manage authentication context propagation across multiple services, ensuring consistent and secure user sessions using JWT validation and token exchange
Enterprise Authentication Controls: Build APIs for org-level authentication policy enforcement, including forced SSO, domain capture, and credential lifecycle management
Platform API Development: Create and maintain platform APIs and libraries consumed by internal teams, focusing on backward compatibility and low integration friction

Education

Computer Science/Software EngineeringBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in software engineering

Experience

AI-Assisted DevelopmentExperience working with AI agents for code development, review, and research
