The role

Summary

Zip is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to drive product quality and testing strategies for their enterprise procurement AI platform. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end quality assurance, build robust Playwright automation, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure exceptional software quality and customer experience.

What you'll do

Quality Ownership: Own product quality OKRs in partnership with the Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) team, proactively analyzing failure patterns and improving test coverage
Automation Development: Build and maintain Playwright automation using TypeScript, covering UI, integration, and unit testing layers
Release Management: Serve as the quality gate for every release cycle, reviewing PRs, collaborating with offshore QA team, and resolving release-blocking issues
Product Collaboration: Embed deeply with the product team to develop domain expertise and create comprehensive end-to-end test plans
Process Improvement: Continuously enhance QA processes, tooling, and documentation, treating the test suite as a dynamic, evolving system

Education

Computer Science or Related FieldBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Experience

QA ExperienceProven track record of end-to-end QA in fast-moving SaaS environments
Collaboration SkillsDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and design teams
