What you'll do

Product Development: Design and build highly reliable and resilient software products and features for Zip's procurement platform
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product and customer-facing teams to understand requirements and develop thoughtful technical solutions
Code Quality: Write high-quality, extensible, and maintainable code with a focus on scalability and performance
API Development: Design and build robust APIs to support existing and new features for web-based applications
System Integration: Develop integrations with external systems like Jira, ServiceNow, Slack, and financial platforms

What we look for

Technical

Programming LanguagesProficiency in Python and JavaScript, with strong web application and API development skills
Frameworks and ToolsExperience with React, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Kibana, Prometheus, and Grafana
System DesignAbility to design scalable and resilient backend systems and applications

Education

Academic BackgroundBS or higher in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical field involving coding

Experience

Professional ExperiencePreferably 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in web application and API development
Startup EnvironmentExperience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with diverse responsibilities is a plus
