The role

Summary

1Password is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the Enterprise Password Management (EPM) organization, responsible for driving the strategy, delivery, and evolution of the company's core enterprise credentials platform. The ideal candidate will combine deep enterprise security expertise with strong leadership skills to scale secure, intuitive credential management solutions for businesses.

What you'll do

Strategic Leadership: Set and align vision and strategy for the Enterprise Password Management organization with company priorities, build and organize teams, and partner cross-functionally to establish roadmaps
Product Vision: Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Enterprise Password Management, ensuring the platform scales with customer needs and aligns with compliance commitments
Security Management: Uphold and evolve 1Password's zero-knowledge security model, maintaining uncompromising security standards while delivering exceptional usability
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Engineering, Security, Platform, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to support enterprise adoption, customer outcomes, and revenue growth
Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain top product and engineering talent, fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, ownership, and business impact

IAM IntegrationExpertise in integrating with IAM, SSO, SIEM, and developer tooling ecosystems
Security ArchitectureStrong understanding of zero-knowledge security models and enterprise compliance standards

Education

Advanced DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Leadership ExperienceProven track record of leading engineering teams in enterprise security or identity management
