Summary

Airwallex seeks an Engineering Director to lead the Global Treasury and Payment Network (GTPN) Platform team in San Francisco, overseeing multiple engineering streams across Transfers, Client Treasury, and GTPN Infrastructure. The role requires 10+ years of engineering experience with strong leadership skills to drive technical excellence and product innovation at a $8 billion fintech company serving 200,000+ global businesses.

What you'll do

Strategic Leadership: Oversee strategy, architecture, development, and operation of Airwallex's GTPN team across multiple feature teams including Transfers, Client Treasury, and GTPN Infrastructure

Technical Vision: Define and drive the technical vision for the business domain, ensuring alignment with company-wide engineering standards and financial product goals

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with talented engineers, product managers, and designers to bring finance products from concept to launch across global markets

Team Management: Manage all engineers in the GTPN team, providing mentorship, career development, and fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence

Quality Assurance: Ensure overall quality and delivery of multiple engineering streamlines, maintaining high standards for code quality, system reliability, and performance

Problem Resolution: Clear roadblocks, provide context and guidance to teams, and escalate issues appropriately to maintain project momentum

Customer-Centric Development: Dive deep into customer needs and challenges to design and implement solutions that exceed user expectations and drive business growth

Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics to drive product decisions, measure success, and identify optimization opportunities for enhanced user satisfaction

Global Stakeholder Management: Work with key stakeholders across the globe to align engineering efforts with business objectives and market requirements
