Summary
Airwallex is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Expenses team in San Francisco, building innovative expense management solutions. The role involves developing user-friendly interfaces using React, TypeScript, and GraphQL, with a focus on micro frontend architecture and cross-functional collaboration to enhance their global financial platform serving 200,000+ businesses.
What you'll do
Frontend Implementation: Implement and maintain frontend features using React and TypeScript, breaking down requirements into actionable tasks and participating in team planning
Micro Frontend Development: Contribute to the development of Micro Frontends following domain-based design approach for maintainability and modularity
Product Collaboration: Work with product managers and designers to clarify feature requirements, support iterative delivery, and ensure production quality
API Integration: Use Apollo GraphQL to integrate with backend services via Backend-for-Frontend layer, focusing on clean, scalable APIs
UI Component Development: Collaborate with designers to implement and improve shared UI components and contribute to the team's design system
Code Quality: Participate in team code reviews, help triage bugs, and contribute to improving engineering standards
Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing learning via Frontend Guild discussions, tech spikes, and experimentation with new technologies
Cross-functional Partnership: Partner with backend engineers and product teams to deliver smooth, high-quality user experiences
