Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their Spend team, focusing on architecting and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure for critical financial technology services. The ideal candidate will drive reliability, performance, and operational excellence across global cloud platforms, working closely with development teams to ensure robust and secure system deployments.

What you'll do

Cloud Infrastructure Architecture: Design and implement cloud infrastructure for new services and strategic roadmap initiatives across global platforms

Cross-Team Collaboration: Embed with development teams to drive reliability, performance, and operational readiness of critical systems

Incident Management: Lead comprehensive incident response, observability, and automation strategies across mission-critical infrastructure

Performance Optimization: Own team-level Service Level Objectives (SLOs), develop comprehensive runbooks, and track DevOps performance metrics

Compliance and Security: Collaborate with central DevOps and security teams to ensure robust system compliance and resilience

Cloud PlatformsAdvanced expertise in AWS and/or GCP cloud infrastructure

ContainerizationProficient in Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies

ObservabilityStrong skills in monitoring, logging, and system observability tools

Education

Computer Science DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field

Experience

SRE/DevOps ExperienceMinimum 6+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused engineering roles

Production System ManagementExtensive experience supporting high-availability production systems with strict compliance requirements
