What you'll do

Technical Leadership: Provide visionary technical direction for Airwallex's data platform, solving complex problems and fostering innovation across the organization

Platform Development: Oversee the strategy, architecture, development, and operation of Airwallex's data and AI platforms, focusing on creating scalable and performant infrastructure

Team Mentorship: Mentor the data platform team, nurturing both technical skills and professional development while promoting a culture of excellence

Strategic Problem Solving: Identify and resolve company-wide challenges using advanced data platform solutions and cutting-edge technologies

Best Practices Advocacy: Champion best practices across the data platform, instilling a culture of technical craftsmanship and continuous improvement

Data Platform ArchitectureProven experience in designing and implementing scalable multi-geographical data pipelines and infrastructure

Cloud TechnologiesExpertise in cloud platforms and big data technologies like GCP, Databricks, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Spark, and Airflow

Data ProcessingAdvanced understanding of ETL frameworks, metrics stores, and data security implementations

Education

Advanced Technical DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
