The role

Summary

Alan is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join its Tech Foundations team, focusing on building secure-by-default infrastructure and security building blocks for their healthcare technology platform. The ideal candidate will help design and implement core security components, contribute to security platforms, and enhance security engineering practices across the organization.

What you'll do

Authentication Stack Development: Design, build, and operate authentication infrastructure with a focus on passwordless solutions and strategic identity management
Encryption Component Management: Develop and maintain end-to-end encryption components for Alan Clinic, ensuring both security and user experience
Security Platform Evolution: Evolve secure file exchange platforms and contribute to creating secure enclaves for protecting sensitive medical data
Security Engineering Practice Enhancement: Contribute to improving security engineering practices, including vulnerability fixing, CI/CD security, SAST/DAST implementation, and infrastructure security

What we look for

Technical

Full-stack Engineering ExperienceMinimum 3+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering roles
Product Development SkillsExperience designing and building products, platforms, frameworks, or libraries
Security ArchitectureStrong understanding of secure-by-design product development principles

Education

Computer Science or Related FieldBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience

Experience
