The role

Summary

Alan is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join their Tech Foundations team, focusing on building robust infrastructure, enhancing developer productivity, and scaling cloud environments across their international healthcare technology platform. The ideal candidate will help create world-class infrastructure systems that enable product teams to deliver exceptional services efficiently and securely.

What you'll do

Infrastructure Management: Design and implement robust, scalable infrastructure systems with a focus on reliability, observability, and cost optimization
DevOps Enablement: Improve CI/CD processes, develop internal tooling, and enhance developer productivity across engineering teams
Security and Compliance: Facilitate security initiatives, implement authentication and encryption mechanisms, and protect developer and user environments
Incident Management: Lead post-mortem analyses, improve incident response processes, and maintain high system uptime targets
Mentorship and Collaboration: Mentor other engineers, contribute to hiring processes, and shape technical assessment methodologies

What we look for

Technical

Cloud PlatformsStrong experience with cloud infrastructure, especially AWS
Monitoring ToolsProficiency in monitoring, alerting, and observability technologies
AutomationAbility to write code for automation, internal tools, APIs, and command-line interfaces

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field

Experience

Platform EngineeringMinimum 3 years of experience in platform or infrastructure engineering roles
Software DevelopmentBackground in Full-Stack or Backend software engineering
