Summary

Alan is seeking a Security Software Engineer to join their Tech Foundations team, focusing on building and evolving core security components for their health technology platform. The ideal candidate will design secure-by-default solutions that protect sensitive health data while maintaining an exceptional user experience across authentication, encryption, and security platforms.

What you'll do

Security Core Components: Design and operate authentication and encryption systems for Alan's healthcare platform
Security Platform Development: Evolve secure file exchange and medical data protection platforms
Security Practice Enhancement: Contribute to improving security engineering practices across the organization
Collaborative Security: Partner with product teams to implement secure-by-default patterns and reduce risk

Authentication StackDesign and implement self-hosted identity provider with passwordless authentication
Encryption ComponentsBuild and operate end-to-end encryption systems
Security PlatformsDevelop secure file exchange and medical data isolation platforms
Security Engineering PracticesImplement SAST/DAST, infrastructure security, and vulnerability remediation

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field

Experience

Security EngineeringMinimum 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on security
Product DevelopmentExperience in designing and building products, platforms, frameworks, or libraries
