The role

Summary

Alan is seeking a Security Software Engineer to join their Tech Foundations team, focusing on building foundational security components for their healthcare technology platform. The ideal candidate will design and implement secure-by-default systems that protect sensitive health data while maintaining an exceptional user experience across Alan's European operations.

What you'll do

Authentication Infrastructure: Design, build, and operate the authentication stack on a self-hosted identity provider, with a goal of implementing passwordless authentication
Encryption Systems: Develop and maintain end-to-end encryption components for Alan Clinic, ensuring a delightful and frictionless user experience
Security Platforms Development: Evolve and operate secure file exchange platforms and secure enclaves for protecting highly sensitive medical data
Security Engineering Practices: Contribute to reinforcing security practices including vulnerability fixing, CI/CD security, SAST/DAST, Infrastructure Security, and AI/LLM Security

What we look for

Technical

Full-Stack EngineeringMinimum 3+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering roles
Product DevelopmentExperience in designing and building products, platforms, frameworks, or libraries
Security EngineeringStrong understanding of secure-by-design product development principles

Education

Computer Science/SecurityRelevant degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience
