Summary

Alan is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead 6-15 engineers across multiple teams, driving technical excellence and team growth in a mission-driven healthcare technology company. The ideal candidate will balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic team development, focusing on creating high-performing engineering teams that drive innovation in healthcare delivery.

What you'll do

Technical Leadership: Set technical direction by balancing technical debt with feature development, establishing quality standards through code reviews, and driving operational excellence in monitoring and security
Team Development: Build talent density through strategic hiring, performance management, and creating engaging technical challenges that motivate engineers
Collaboration and Alignment: Enable effective cross-team collaboration by fostering psychological safety, facilitating knowledge sharing, and proactively addressing team dynamics
Strategic Execution: Drive strategic alignment with product partners, improve development efficiency using modern tools, and ensure realistic commitments that balance technical needs with business goals
Hands-on Technical Involvement: Maintain hands-on involvement in architecture decisions, technical problem-solving, and continuous skill development

Education

Hands-on Technical SkillsRecent hands-on technical experience within the last 2-3 years
