The role

Summary

Benchling seeks a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their App Core & IAM Platform team, focusing on building core authentication, authorization, and configuration services for their life sciences R&D cloud platform. The role offers an opportunity to develop enterprise-grade features that enable scientists to accelerate research and development.

What you'll do

Identity and Permissions: Build and own features central to the product, including Identity, Permissions, Notifications, and platform-wide Configurability
Full Stack Development: Work across the full technology stack, addressing challenges from front-end UI to back-end architecture
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product and design teams to transform ideas into high-quality, thoughtful features
Organizational Improvement: Contribute to engineering organization enhancement by improving tools, processes, and supporting hiring efforts

What we look for

Technical

Software Engineering Experience1+ year of software engineering experience or current enrollment in BS/MS Computer Science or STEM field
Problem SolvingStrong abilities in problem-solving and iterative feedback implementation

Education

DegreeBS/MS in Computer Science or related STEM field, with graduation expected by Summer 2026

Experience

InternshipPrior software engineering internship or similar professional experience
