Summary

Benchling is seeking a New Grad Software Engineer for their 2026 class in San Francisco, focusing on building and scaling innovative biotechnology software solutions. The role offers new graduates an opportunity to work on critical platform and product teams, providing end-to-end project ownership and meaningful contributions to cutting-edge scientific R&D technology.

What you'll do

Project Ownership: End-to-end ownership of projects from initial design to large-scale rollout
Backend Development: Design and implement backend models and API endpoints for complex scientific workflows
Frontend Development: Design and implement rich React frontend components for complex scientific analyses
Platform Development: Build platform frameworks and infrastructure tools for Benchling engineers
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, marketing, and sales teams

Software Engineering ExperiencePrior software engineering internship or similar practical experience
Problem SolvingStrong abilities in problem solving and iteratively improving based on feedback

Education
