Summary

Cohere is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and drive the development of North, their innovative AI workspace platform. The role involves managing a high-performing engineering team, delivering scalable features across the full technology stack, and contributing to the company's mission of scaling intelligence to serve humanity.

What you'll do

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Product Development: Design, build, ship, and maintain scalable features for North, Cohere's AI workspace platform.
End-to-End Ownership: Take complete ownership of features from initial design and planning through implementation, testing, and delivery.
Technical Decision Making: Make practical technical decisions that balance development velocity with depth and quality of implementation.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate across teams while maintaining high standards for communication, documentation, and testing.
Full Stack Contribution: Contribute across the entire technology stack, developing new features, fixing bugs, and optimizing performance.

Full Stack DevelopmentStrong coding abilities with comfort working across front-end UI and back-end infrastructure.
Production Application ExperienceProven track record of building, shipping, and maintaining production-ready applications.

Education

Computer Science or Related FieldBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
