Summary

Cohere is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for their Agentic Platform team, specializing in deploying secure AI solutions for the public sector. The role focuses on developing cutting-edge AI agents, working directly with enterprise customers to implement transformative GenAI solutions in sensitive environments.

What you'll do

North Platform Feature Development: Build and ship features for North, Cohere's AI workspace platform, focusing on secure and customizable enterprise AI solutions.
Autonomous Agent Development: Develop sophisticated autonomous agents capable of interacting with sensitive enterprise data while maintaining strict security protocols.
Customer-Centric Solution Design: Collaborate directly with public sector organizations to understand complex challenges and design tailored AI solutions that address specific institutional needs.
End-to-End Deployment Management: Lead comprehensive deployments of North platform in private cloud and on-premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing, and rollout.
Rapid Experimentation: Execute high-velocity experiments with exceptional quality to develop innovative AI solutions that exceed customer expectations.

What we look for

Technical

Python Production ExperienceExtensive experience shipping production-grade Python applications with demonstrated ability to work across the full technology stack.
RAG/Agentic Application DevelopmentProven track record of building and deploying high-performance Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and autonomous agent applications.
Cloud and Infrastructure DeploymentStrong skills in configuring and managing deployments across private cloud and on-premises environments.

Education

Computer Science DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.

Experience

Enterprise AI SolutionsMinimum 3-5 years of experience developing enterprise-grade AI solutions with a focus on customer-facing implementations.
Public Sector TechnologyPrior experience or strong interest in developing technology solutions for government or highly regulated environments.
