What you'll do.

Cohere is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer specializing in Infrastructure to lead enterprise AI deployment for their North platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with enterprise clients to implement secure, customized AI solutions in complex cloud environments, bridging advanced AI technology with real-world enterprise needs.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise AI Deployment: Lead end-to-end deployment of North platform in private cloud and on-premises environments, including comprehensive planning, configuration, testing, and rollout strategies.
  • Client Infrastructure Assessment: Partner with enterprise IT teams to evaluate infrastructure requirements, security protocols, and data management practices for AI integration.
  • Deployment Strategy Development: Design and implement customized deployment approaches that ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards across diverse enterprise environments.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex deployment-related technical challenges, providing rapid solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate directly with enterprise clients to understand their unique AI integration needs and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.

Qualifications

Technical

  • Kubernetes Administration

    Proven experience administering production Kubernetes clusters with advanced configuration capabilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure

    Deep expertise in cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • DevOps Practices

    Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control with Git, and infrastructure-as-code principles

  • Networking

    Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking, virtualization, and secure infrastructure deployment

Education

  • Computer Science/Engineering Degree

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred

Experience

  • Enterprise Software Deployment

    Minimum 5+ years of experience deploying enterprise software in private and hybrid cloud environments

  • Customer-Facing Technical Roles

    Proven track record of working directly with enterprise clients in technical deployment capacities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related technical issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.

  • You have proven experience administering production Kubernetes clusters and expertise with Helm
