The role

Summary

Cohere is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive advanced analytics and insights for their AI platform. The ideal candidate will lead experimental programs, build predictive models, and shape strategic decisions across product, sales, and research teams, working at the forefront of AI technology and innovation.

What you'll do

Experimental Design: Lead and design comprehensive A/B tests, multi-armed bandit experiments, and causal inference studies to drive product and go-to-market decisions
Predictive Modeling: Develop and deploy advanced forecasting, segmentation, propensity scoring, and opportunity sizing models across Cohere's core business lines
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of data scientists and analysts, setting high technical standards and creating a collaborative work environment
Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate across product, research, sales, and finance teams to define and execute strategic growth initiatives
Analytical Prioritization: Define analytical priorities, allocate resources, and drive initiatives from conceptualization to production implementation

Education

Advanced DegreePh.D. or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related quantitative field preferred
